The Beauty of Kansas in Spring

Most people who look at this blog of mine will see this post and say "I know all of those views".  But for the benefit of the 2 or 3 people who read this that are NOT my friends here in Kansas, I wanted to share the beauty of our little spot  of Kansas in Spring.

We drove down to the town where our 2 younger sons go to college (home of our beloved Wildcats) on Sunday afternoon to have dinner together with them.

It is that time of year when the trees remind me of 12 year old boys with peach fuzz as the leaves are just peeking out.  So, without further adieu, I give you, KANSAS!
I wanted to show that it is hilly and not flat here.  Not sure this is a good example.

The look of freshly burned and renewed grass--love it!

Again, gently rolling hills, called The Flint Hills.

We stopped so I could take this.

Looking at those cattle on the hills through the barbed wire.

Had to slow down for a while as we followed this guy.

One of my favorite views!

Almost there and loving the new wheat coming up.  So green!

My favorite little house nestled into a valley inside a curve.  Zoomed in and took this at 65 mph through the car window.

  4. The last house or the big white one, Kim? I have been in love with that little stone cottage since I first visited here.

Glad to change your mind, Shelly! And believe me, my pictures out the car window can not do it justice!
