Pulling the Rug Out From Under Me

It is Labor Day weekend and I am L O V I N G it.  Two different days in one weekend that you can sleep in and not feel terribly guilty.  


But there is something about having this wonderful holiday so soon after school has started that is really kind of cruel.  I mean, the kids have only been back in the old routine for a few weeks and then you get this great long weekend.  


It makes you remember those summer days of leisure and a person can start to enjoy it and think that it feels pretty great and then BOOM--back to the old school routine again.  


Tonight feels so great.  The breeze is blowing in my windows and it is a lovely evening.  Tomorrow looks to be a great leisurely day of the usual tasks but in holiday mode.  


Too bad that on Tuesday morning we're going to have the rug pulled out from under us.
