Halloween 2010

Wow!  That would have seemed so futuristic when I was a kid.  And here we are in 2010 and we're not driving flying cars or eating freeze dried food like I thought we would be back when I was a kid.

It is Halloween again and though I try not to I must celebrate it with my kids.

Katrina made an awesome shark costume all by herself and I still need to get a picture of it tonight when they go trick or treating.  She is so amazingly creative in every way.  I'm so proud to be her mom.

A couple months ago Anna and I discussed what she might be for Halloween this year and we decided she would be a juice box and that it would be so simple to make.  Then I forgot that we had talked about it.  So when she reminded me of it I was so relieved because I did not want to sew something this year after the hummingbird fiasco of 2008.

So I waited until the last minute and started working on it Wednesday without my husband around this whole past week to help me or give me technical advice.  We got it done and I think it is successful since both my girls thought it was great.  As a mom, you win some, you lose some.  Fortunately I think this year was a winner.

  1. You're such a good mommy! My daughter made her own costume--she knew better than to ask me. :)

Love the new look, by the way!
