Walmart Rant

Today I made a Walmart run because honestly I hadn't even gotten food to make for Thanksgiving yet.  So I went even though I was tired and sore.  Tired from cleaning a lot the past couple days and sore from cleaning and from my usual falling down or running into things that hurt me.  Hey, I'm clumsy.

I got what I needed in a rather short time and had my choice of about 4 check out lanes that were open.  I chose one that was just finishing up checking out someone else.  As I approached the checker I could see in her eyes that she was less than excited that I had chosen her.

I asked her if she was still going to be open or if she was ready for a break.  She glanced up at her lighted register number and then roller her eyes.  I told her I would go to another lane but she said to go ahead and proceed with her.

She then went on to yell at a co-worker who was dashing out the door that "I get to go next so I can throw up."  The "checker manager" was walking by right about then and said "are you sick?" or something to that affect.  The cashier stated that she had been very sick with some illness but that it was the medicine that her doctor had given her that was making her nauseated. She complained that it was a shame that the medicine for her illness was making her sick as well.

And then, she proceeded to TOUCH EVERY SINGLE FOOD ITEM THAT I WAS ABOUT TO PURCHASE.

Can I just say something without sounding really mean?

IF YOU ARE SICK AND YOU WORK IN AN ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH YOU WILL BE TOUCHING OTHER PEOPLE'S FOOD ITEMS PLEASE STAY HOME!!!!!

That's all.
